James Marzo graduated from the University of Buffalo with a BS in Education and a minor in English. He was selected to be part of, “Playwrights of WNY Celebrating Charles Burchfield” at the Burchfield Penny Art Museum in Buffalo, NY in January of 2016 with his play, Snow Patterns based on the painting of the same name by Charles Burchfield.
His one act play entitled, No One Will Know based on the true story of the Thayer Brothers and their slaying of John Love in 1824 debuted at ART of WNY in April of 2015. His full length works include The Good Life which appeared as a staged reading at the Buffalo Infringement Festival in August of 2015. Cyrano of Borough Park appeared at the Thespis Festival in New York in August of 2014.
He received a semifinalist award from the Blue Cat Screenwriting Competition for his screenplay entitled Uninvited. Received a semifinalist award for the play entitled The Hunchback of Cheektowaga from Pandora’s Box New Play Festival. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
